VersaChem® Windshield Repair Kit provides the same special, deep-penetrating, crack-filling resin and surface damage procedure that auto glass shop technicians use. The high quality patented injector and components work well on may types of break damage including chips, bullseyes and stars.

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Clean out any loose glass particles from damaged pit area using the pin provided.
  2. Clean surrounding area of the break using a dry cloth or paper towel.
  3. Peel backing off one side of adhesive, seal and line up hole in seal with pit making sure that the tab is pointing upwards. Press seal to glass and run fingers around seal to insure a tight bond.
  4. Peel backing from top side of adhesive seal.
  5. Peel backing from bottom of pedestal and line up the pedestal with the adhesive seal making sure tabs match up. Press pedestal to seal. Run fingers around pedestal to insure a tight bond.
  6. Cut tip off resin container (about 1/8”). Place open end ¼” into pedestal opening. Slowly squeeze resin tube, releasing resin into the pedestal. Do not use all of the resin as you will need a few drops for step 11.
  7. Press fit injector into pedestal and insure that the connection is tight.
  8. Hold injector in one hand and pull plunger upward with the other hand. Lock plunger by engaging lower notch in plunger with spring clip. Carefully remove hands from plunger and allow device to remain in locked position for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove injector from pedestal momentarily to let air in.  Then replace injector as in step 7.  Depress plunger downward and engage upper notch with spring clip.  Let sit for a minimum of 20 minutes before proceeding to next step.
  10. Remove injector and discard. Loosen the outer edges of pedestal with safety razor. Once top part of pedestal and seal is bent away from the glass, grip the pedestal tab and slowly pull tap away. Wipe and remove any excess resin.
  11. Hold resin container in one hand and place a drop of resin into pit on windshield. Place clear curing film over pit to hold the resin in place.
  12. Run the safety razor lightly over film to vent out any air bubbles.
  13. Park vehicle in direct sunlight for 15 minutes so that the ultra violet rays from the sun will finish the cure. On hazy days, park vehicle in sunlight for a minimum of 1 hour.
